How to burn navi backup file to dvd disc?

Ok, official navi update cost here in Finland about 250$ total ripoff to my mind.
I have a 2010 backup files for European maps, east and west, on my computer.
Also instructions says that i have to use Verbatim DVD+R DL disc, ok, i have those.
But with which burn program and how? Already tried Nero and with it data dvd burn but it doesnt work in my 2007 car.
If somebody can help me with this it would be really nice.

You might want to poke around the 3rd gen TL section a little bit. I know they've discussed this quite a bit. I tried to do a search in there for "burning navigation disc" but it turned up thousands of results. I wonder if something is wrong with the search function.

Is your backup a .iso file (otherwise known as an image)? If so, you'll need to use something like imgBurn to burn to a disk. Also make sure to burn at 1x or 2x speed for highest reliability.

What I was saying was that I personally tried to use the search function and it wasn't working. Rather than return a limited number of searches it pulled up a huge mess of garbled junk.

It is iso file, maybe the speed is the issue, Nero doesnd allow to burn data dvd slower than 4x (options are 8x 6x and 4x)
Last one was burned by 4x and not working, it might also be possible that the iso file is corrupted or something.

TL section wasnt so helpful, mainly they are talking about those backround pic changes and some OK fixes.
I tryed also that search with poor results.

You can't just burn the iso onto the disk as a file and call it a day. An iso is an image. Think of it as a fancy zip file, except it contains all of the information from the original disk and not just the files. You need to use software that can recreate the disk out of the iso. I'd suggest imgburn. It's free and works well. Try that and see if it works.

Now i used the IMGBurner, still no luck, little progress because it started to download new software in the navi but stopped when like one third was downloaded and then again "check your disc" on the display.
