HIDeXtra AfterMarket Headlights

Hey ZineMates!!

My low beam finally quit and the Ack dealyer wanted to replace everything.. $1500-$2000 umm nope well I purchased a complete set of HID's for my 2005RL. through HID eXtra
9005
D2S
H11
2 Relay Harness

Since having them installed (By Import specialists) Good group of mechanics well established but at this point I'm wondering. Ever since having them installed i cannot turn my lights "off" or they "flicker". I love the product but now the low beam has stopped working.. Anyone have experience with these lights and the "day time running" option an issue after installation?

That sounds like an improperly installed HID kit to me...

You know the HID bulb actually fail before other components fail right? I got a pair of Osram CBI for $99 and it may take about 30 mins to replace it. Its seem like you bought a cheap quality HID since the ballast can't sustain power supply to the bulb therefore flickering issue. "Import specialists" this would be a red flag for me.

They have been in business since 82 focusing on Imports. Where else do you go when working on an import other than the dealer? I didn't think light swaps were that difficult , but obviously something is amiss.. I found the company for these light here on this site when i was researching HID upgrade kits. (HIDeXtra) You have to drop the nose of the car so its not a 30 minute replacement.. I replaced EVERYTHING Hi, Lo, Fog, and Ballast's.. It's not the ballasts... they are going to send me new bulbs and ballasts at no cost. Just need to figure out what happened.
