I swapped my compass unit with an 06 nav tech unit. The issue now is that when I go to personal settings the tab for "pin" "home address" and address book are shaded gray and does not allow me to select. Is there a reset? Any ideas???? All help are welcomed.

 

That means that your remote FOB is not linked to the vehicle, so the vehicle doesn't know if you are Driver 1 or Driver 2. The PIN, home address, address book, and many of the other personalized settings in the RL are stored by Driver number (either 1 or 2). If your fob is not linked to the vehicle, then the vehicle doesn't know which driver you are and goes into a third, default driver mode where you CANNOT set any of the personalized settings.

Look on the back of the fob to see how to link it to the car and then when you get in and turn on the car, notice if it says Welcome Driver 1 or Welcome Driver 2 or just Welcome. If it just says Welcome, then you are still in that no driver mode and you have to try again.

Megatron... thank you for the tutorial on my nav issue. I did as you sugested and everything works. The car now says "welcome operator 2" ( my main key was damaged beyon repair)
