Hazard switch removal

Not 100% sure on this, but I think you need to take the radio out to access it. My hazard light is out too. When I took the radio out to replace my hvac bulbs, I looked at removing the vent, but couldn't figure it out and didn't want to mess with it. Shame that all these bulbs are going out in the car and that access isn't great. I've had my seat heater bulbs die, hazard die and a few hvac bulbs die.

If u remove the radio it comes out very easily and there's no need to worry about scratching the air vent area. Otherwise you need one of those panel removal tools and unlock the switch from the bottom.
I replaced my switch with a new one because the old one was scratched (previous owner had long nails? )

is the clip on the bottom holding it in plastic or medal? to get it free, you can just keep picking at the bottom of the switch until it comes loose eventually?

I'm going to go ahead and bump this thread to post and update. Yes, you do have to remove the radio to replace the bulb on that hazard switch. However, once the radio is off, it's just a matter of reaching behind the switch and pushing it out. I honestly wished I had just changed this bulb with my climate control bulbs This thread will also forever be pinned in the 2G Garage On the plus side, it took my a whopping 20 minutes to remove the radio, change the bulb and have everything re-installed and running... Yay 1000th post!
