If the ipod integration kit doesn't work for the 05's, this is what I'm thinking of picking up. They have them at fry's, best buy etc.

 

I had seen that before, seems kinda cool. Hopefully the ipod kit will work though

 

So what is the latest word on this?...will the ipod integration kit work on the 2005 RL? I was at my local dealership about 3 weeks ago and a salesman told me it will only work on the 2006 models. I was a bit wary of his answer after reading many threads in this forum stating that the dealerships really don't know much about our RL's. The Harmon Karmon kit looks nice and all...I just don't want to have to put the display up on my dash...I'm not keen on the after market look...akin to "jacking up" and putting mag wheels on the family Rambler...now I'm dating myself.

 

Does the stock head unit have an aux input? If not, you'll have to disconnect your XM in order to plug this in.

My sister drives a 2003 Honda Pilot, and wanted something to connect her iPod, so I got her this system for Christmas. It's nice, and Circuit City did a nice job with the install, but I can sure tell the difference in audio quality from CD, since in her Pilot it has to go through the FM tuner....
