Front door speaker removal

Hello people, does anyone know how to change the front door speakers. I have one that is buzzing, and sounds awful. I found a pair of infinity speakers on line to replace the stock ones. They are 6-1/2" 2-Way Reference Series Shallow-Mount Car Speakers
Power Handling:
Peak: 300 watts per pair / 150 watts each
RMS: 100 watts per pair / 50 watts each
Plus One+ Injection-molded, polypropylene cone woofer
Hi-roll rubber surround
1" Edge-driven, textile dome tweeter
Intermount III Mounting system for 6-3/4" openings
True Four Ohm Technology - speaker's 2 ohm impedance combines with OEM speaker wire impedance for a 4 ohm load
2 ohms impedance
Top-mount depth: 1-15/16"
Authorized Internet Dealer
1-year Manufacturer's warranty

You will need to make custom 3/4" wood trim rings. The door speakers are just woofers, and the x over is built into the a pillar tweeters. Your really need 6.5", 2 way separate speakers with an external x over.

because the oem speaker is built into the plastic housing that comes off in one piece. and those adapters do not work either. you need to make a MDF adapter to work properly since the oem opening in the door is not a perfect circle

A spacer is needed as an aftermarket speaker mounted directly to the door will interfere with the window due to the depth. MDF is ideal, but plywood will work.

If this isn't something you're used to doing you may want to have a professional do it to avoid damaging the door panel.
