Electrical failure and door locks

Because of the events of yesterday...here is a question that I can't answer and I hope someone else can. When all power is lost to the car because of a bad battery connection, and your inside the car...the windows don't go down and you can't open the doors from either inside or outside...how do you get out? Is there a emergency over ride of the electrical locks? Or do you just bust the drivers window out with an escape tool?

I thought about this when I read your other post... why didnt she just flip the little lock paddle (the part with the red line) at the corner of the handle forward?

Still laughing!!
(see my post in the other thread)

I just can't imagine being stuck inside a car, haha, oh man the panic that she must have felt when the auto locks didn't work would have been priceless.

You got to wonder if an engineer spent a few hours in a locked car back in development days of electric locks.

You might think it is funny unless your the one stuck in the car. I didn't think it was funny at all. No one had shown us where the manual lock was on the doors, it is so unobtrusive that it is almost invisible. So when the battery died, my wife was basically stuck in the car until we figured out what was going on. The battery terminal was totally corroded all the way through and it was just on the post by a thread. I still don't think it is humorous at all.

First of all, if someone has to show you were the manual lock is for the door how did you make it far enough in life to afford this car.... Took me all of 10 seconds to find it and I'm not the sharpest tool out there. I could go off on a rant about holding hands and how everyone is a winner these days but I think you get the point.

Second of all, regardless of the blonde moment you and your wife had this is funny, and if you can't see the humor in it then I would avoid posting stories like this on the internet.

*cough* reason for edit *cough*
