Anyone having a problem with the Navi system throwing up a "Disc Reading Error" when the system first starts up? My 05 RL does this with increasing frequency and I've had checked twice by the dealer but they just clean the disc and say they can't find any problem. The system does work after the error message but it seems odd that it should be doing this.

Mine's been doing this ever since I tried to install the abortive 4.62 update CD. The dealer's cleaned the old disk, tried a forced download per the TSB, etc. We've been in several times, no solution. It's to the point now that all it seems to do is re-boot continuously. On the rare occasions it does fire up, the orientation is wrong, and it's takes about 20 minutes before it "rights" itself and gets where it should be. Sometimes then it'll run well for an hour, and then it fails and starts all over again. I'm just hoping the update (if it ever appears) will solve the problem. Our patience is wearing thin.......
