daytime nav display

durring the day I can not see anything on the nav display. This is just a daylight problem. Is there any custom shades for the nav display on the market for this vehicle? I would buy one in a flash.

As far as I know, no. I assume you're talking about the glare problem?

I don't know if it's glear or not. I just don't see anything during the day time hours. Regardless of whether it's nav or music. Is there a setting that I need to make or is this how it is with everyone? As soon as I enter the garage it becomes very clear. I don't remember having this problem with my 02 TL S.

There is only occasional glare on mine. I'd say it's perfectly readable 95% of the time. Isn't the brightness adjustable? You might want to check the manual for that...(never been a problem for me, so I haven't bothered). Does your display change colors when you turn your lights on or is it stick in night mode?

What happens when you press the "day/night/off" button down in the lower left corner of the center console. It should cycle through the settings. Does it?

I've experienced the same problem. Backing out of the garage into full daylight, it's as if the screen has to warm up like an old TV tube. I've adjusted for the best combination of brightness and contrast. I had a similar problem with my cell phone screen and Verizon said the Motorola screen was "dying." They replaced the 18 month old phone. Sounds hokey to me, but I'll be taking this issue to the dealer.
