I just took delivery of my '06 RL with the Bose Surround Sound System, with DVD-Audio. I asked the delivery specialist if you could play DVD-Videos, and he said, "You have to remove a chip that prevents this." Has anyone heard of this, and how to do it?

 

Well, the TL is in its third year (for the 3rg Generation) with DVD-A. Nobody there has figured this out yet, so the answer to your question is probably no chance of it being done. Lexus & Infiniti come with the feature standard why acura didn't.
