Unhappy Chinese interface

Hello everyone.
I hope you are all keeping well.
I need an asistance. But firstly, please accept my apologies for my bad English

I bought a VIDEO INTERFACE from China. I tried to install but result; NOTHING

I could reach the socket of display by removing the center speaker.

Chinese interface-numbanx.jpg

Then, I've tried to find the problem and figured out something.
As seen on the following photo, there are some cables which goes to display directly.

Chinese interface-d1qttcn.jpg

I found that these cables are related to RED, GREEN and BLUE video signals :S

Chinese interface-lnjme9k.jpg

8-Red color signal
9-Green color signal
10- Ground for display unit
18- Blue color signal
19- Composite video
20- Shield for No. 8, 9, 17, 18, 19 terminals

The color codes also fits to my display cable codes.
The cables which goes to INTERFACE BOX are Ground, ACC+, ILLUMINATION etc.
How will the box switch diplay via these pins?

So...
Am I connecting to device a wrong place or has the stupid Chinese guy connected cables to wrong terminals?

Regards,

Türk

ok, so most of the interfaces for Nav/Video interrupt the signal at the DVD player in the trunk.

Can you post a link to the site where you bought this version?

Have you heard of this unit? http://www.navtool.com/?gclid=CNH--p...FclQOgodHX0AAg

Lastly what is your end result? a back up camera?

yes the easy way, but what you have now seems to have a RGB input and most devices only output in yellow video cable.

So you will need a conversion box or to use port 19 and wire it to a female video cable.

I bought that when I was in Shenzen.
The link is below:

http://www.eglober.com/

I know Navtool buy it was more than 500 USD including shipping. :S
It was 200 USD morning time (when I asked you on other topic) now 340 USD.

They are crazy I think.

So, you tell me to try disc drive in trunk?

see my reply above...

If I am reading the link correctly, you need to wire this plug into the factory RGB harness.

and this looks like the switch to interrupt the signal.

the downside is I do not see acura listed nor do I see the Legend in the honda list... so I cant be certain that is going to work.

No. That device supports RGB in also.
I also bought a small RGBS out GPS BOX to connect to interface.

So I believe the harness is the same in the trunck as it is in the dash so that is a moot point.

But I agree with DB2, we have no way to prove you have the right product for this car.

I will caution you that since you are behind the dash, accidentally feeding 12v to the wrong wire could cause damage to other components.

Hey there.

I was writing via mobile, sorry my typing errors

@HEAVY_RL
Acura and Honda use the same technology. RL or Legend are not known in China much.
As you can see, this box is HONDA ODYSSEY, HONDA PILOT, HONDA RIDGELINE compatible like NavTool HA20PIN.

http://www.eglober.com/ProductShow.asp?ID=1942
http://www.navtool.com/acuraRL_05-08.aspx

I have the cables for RGB-Video in and selector switch, they are ok.

On the other hand, I've found the cable scheme.

01-02-03-04-05-xx-xx-08-09-10
11-12-13-14-15-xx-17-18-19-20

01- RED
02- GREEN
03- SHIELD
11- BLUE
12- CSIG
13- GROUND

So, I think my previous installation is incorrect.

I afraid this device has blown. Because I've sent +12 Volt to RED color signal pin with my previous installation
I want to kiss that China guy's wife and daughter at the same time

I think the device is correct but my connection was not.

I wonder something.

What happens if I connect RGB signals from Navi to a RGB monitor as below?

Thanks for advice but there is no reason to not work, as my device did not work.

I'm looking for a guy who wants to buy and send me a Navtool as a Christmast gift, even I'm a Muslim

It's ok

What about connecting the interface cable to main unit directly under dash?

I have a touch screen controlled GPS box and its cable is very short.

The cable which comes from trunk should be connected to main unit.

BTW, still looking for a Christmast Gift buyer

I don't know what you are asking. The harness from the DVD player to the screen are directly connected.

Nav tool is plug and play in line with the DVD player. You wont need to splice that RGB imput.

Once installed it interrupts the signal with a yellow video input cable.

Thanks for reply.

I'm Muslim but believe in the same God.
God, Allah... They are all same for me.
I'm not a religion guy. But I feel and believe Him.

About RGB, I have a RGB out GPS box.
First, I will try to repair my Chinese interface and install.

Price is shaking on Navitool.com again.
Yesterday 200,00 USD, now 340.00

Trunk to display directly. I am sure. The picture I posted before is the continuity map between the two harnesses.

From what I remember on the NavTool, there is an older model (red?), and an "updated" model (silver/white?). The new one is asking $340, but the old one is/was much cheaper. Maybe look for that.

Thank you for the message.
How many inputs does display have?

I think only one.
If there is only one input to display, how are the other signals (A/C, radio, trip computer etc) sent?

I'm confused.

Sorry, I was wrong. I assumed the 20 pin Navigation harness was the DVD-ROM harness. Bad assumption. You really need the service manual. I tried to attach the Navigation System PDF. Start on page 16.

Thank you for scheme.

What about removing display?
I got 8" touch panel from China.
I searched service manual but removing display is not clear.

Should I remove wooden trim?
