I just bought this car and really like it. But the BT is not working - buttons on steering wheel do nothing. I was wondering if I need to purchase a BT module specifically for an RL or can I buy a aftermarket BT such as the GROM BT3 and use it as my bluetooth?

 

mine (05) is dead also, but instead of buying an oem one that will crap out again, I am going aftermarket.

 

If the aftermarket Bluetooth module handles phone calls and routes audio through the stereo, there shouldn't be an issue. I say that because the HON BT45 doesn't do that. It allows the HFL preference to the stereo.
