HFL suddenly not working.
Nothing happens when I press the buttons. Phone unable to find the car.
Same phone as before, also tried other phones.
Any thoughts where to look first?

 

Battery drained out over night. Recharged it several times past week. Was still drained out in the morning.
Disconnected the HFL. No draining of battery for a week now (y).
Seems that bluetooth drained the battery...

 

Have you searched HFL issues. Some members are reporting success in resurrecting a failed HFL using a hair dryer, or heat gun, or baking it in an oven, to re-flow the solder. Works for some, not so much for others. It's my understanding, that the cost to replace the HFL controller is in the neighborhood of $200, for the controller itself, which is very simple to replace, at least on the 3G TL models. Dealers want up to $600, for the HFL control unit alone, not including labor!

Yes, I've read a bit about it on this forum. The price of this unit is out of space.
I might try to fix mine, but if it does not work I will probably just leave it.
Good function but I'm not a fan of being on the phone while driving that much
