audio problem with satalite radio

when i listen to the regular radio sounds great all speakeres pumping, but when xm sat radio is on it seems that it is unbalanced, the right side plays louder then the left. all the controls are set for all speakeres same level. not sure what to do , any suggestions?

i think it has to do with the sat signal cause my xm plays a little muffled compared to regular radio.

I have noticed the same thing, but I believe it something to do with the channel. Some of the channels have more bandwidth aka better sound.Mine will sound different depending on wich channel i am on.

Seems odd to me. I have not heard anything on my XM like that. I do experience slight volume differences between stations, but no balance issues.
Does it happen on all channels? Is it a music channel or news/talk?
I can't remember whether the centerpoint function works with XM or just cds. Do you have that on or off?

crappy compared to what?
Its clearly better quality than FM, but not nearly as good as DVD-A.
In comparing to CD, I find XM not quite as good, but close.

In terms of Content, there are lots of stations with different genre which is good, but I find for a particular station, they have a limited playlist. I am constantly listening to the same songs over and over again.

i actually think that a FM channel with a strong signal sounds better than sat radio. when i turn up sat radio loud it hurts my ears because the audio signal is so compressed. it should like a lowbitrate mp3 which i hate.

if it wasn't for howard stern i probably would cancel my subscription...

Really? I find just the opposite. I get a much cleaner sound from XM. They claim CD quality not some low bit rate MP3.

Well mine is real crappy now being that it got shut off. Guess the original owner of my RL realized he was still paying for the xm.
