Anyone else with Cingular 8215?

Here is what Acura says should work on this phone:

HFL re: 8125

Here's what mine does that is very frustrating.

This happens about 50% of the time...
An incoming call will shut off the radio, and ring like it should. When I hit the pick up the phone button on the steering wheel, it will hang for a second, then the radio will come back on. My phone is still going and the caller is now on the handset.

What sucks about this is that sometimes the caller gets to hear a loud radio blaring when it drops them and switches to the phone, then the radio comes blaring on. It's kind of embarrassing.

Anyone else getting that problem w/ their phones, 8125 or not?

It seems to dial out fine and doens't switch to the handset w/o asking like it does with incoming calls.

I have one and have not been able to get it to connect to the data link. But it works fine with the HFL for making and receiving calls. I would do a couple of things. First, have you upgraded to the latest 8125 firmware? If not, I would do so. Second, delete the pairing with the phone and the HFL and re-pair (although if you do the firmware upgrade, you will need to re-pair the phone with the FL anyway). Let us know how that goes.

Thanks. A guy in my office who has the same phone just came by and said there's a new ROM release. I'm going to install it and try again.

I appreciate the response!

I have had my phone for about 3 months and never had a problem, also never have updated the ROM.
