About a week ago, I stopped getting any traffic data in the car. The dealer service guy said yesterday they were getting other reports of RL owners missing traffic, and they'd like to use my car as a guinea pig to find the problem. Plus, the sales guy said the same thing, that he'd heard other owners with the same problem.

Anybody else have their traffic data disappear recently?

 

Yes, and I thought that for me it might be due to the fact that the dealer performed an update to the NAV system. It appears that the reciever gets the signal from XM traffic, but doesn't display any icons or speed markers, no matter what the settings are. I did get a message that had to do with the NAV system being updated and refer to an event in Novemeber (I guess 2005).

It's all very confusing.

 

I lost my XM signal a few months back. I called them and had the XM radio/navtraffic reset. Since then, no problems. Most of these issues are directly related to crappy XM service....my dealership has dedicated a tech to just XM.

 

I have first experienced the problem about two weeks ago, brought the car in and they have exchanged the "module" upon getting the car back I was experiencing the same identical problem traffic info is gone while driving and the same for the icon. Have brought the car back for the second time and I am still waiting on the matter to be resolved. It appears the problem is linked to the particular position of the car and not receiving the appropriate signal. The dealer has no clue as to what it could be..
