ANC and AudioPilot?

Have noticed that AudioPilot does not work too well on the RL (my old '03 CTS worked great especially with a window open). I even e-mailed Bose to verify that the RL in fact had AudioPilot. They gave me a simple test of listening to a "news" channel at low volume with AP on and then at cruising speeds to turn AP off. Yes, it does work, but again not much gain in volume. I was wondering if the ANC could be messing with the AP working properly?

P.S. I don't even try to listen to the audio system with a window open above 20 mph due to the harsh buffeting sound the RL produces.

I agree that AudioPilot does not increase volume enough. I doubt if ANC is affecting ti though. From what I've learned from previous threads on ANC, it is tuned for the low frequency engine noise only.
With respect to window open, I find that the "buffeting" is decreased if you open the back window a little when the front is all the way down - then just turn up volume to 20 and enjoy!
