Ambient Temp Reading...

My abient temperature reading has been showing 58 degrees all day long. Anyone have a problem with their ambient temp reading sticking? Does it affect the automatic climate control? Is there a way to reset it?

Nice rims! What did you do with your OEM wheels? What was your cost of wheels and tires?

Tlhe ambient outside air temperature gauge has logic written into it to prevent abnormal fluctuation of the indicator reading. If the temperature measured by the outside air temperature sensor (located in front of the radiator) is greater than the indicator temperature, the reading will increase by 1 degree per 90 seconds while the car is driven at greater than 19mph. Unless the car is driven, the reading could seem to stick. More of the logic is explained on page 22-413 in the service manual.

The outside air temperature reading does affect the automatic climate control.
The temperature reading can be changed by up to +/- 5 degrees via the MID.
