Adding Receivers to Free XM Subscription

I bought a Delphi RoadyXT to install in my wife's MDX. When I tried to activate it, the XM rep told me that my RL is still registered to the dealer and I can't add another radio until the trial is up unless I transfer it to my name and pay the regular subscription rate. I also can't seem to be able set up an online XM account and listen online.

Questions:

Has anyone added a second (or more) receiver to their trial XM account whils till maintaining it as free (and if so, how?

Has anyone found a way to set up an online account with their free trial?

Has anyone been able to listen to XM online?

I don't want to go filling out a bunch of online forms only to find that I worked my way into a paid subscription when I still have almost 11 free months left.

Thanks in advance.

LL

Something tells me "free" applies only to the unit in the car and only as a "trial" account. If you want to add a receiver, it's no longer a trial, is it? Sounds like you like it enough to pay. Even with a normal subscription (which I *also* have), you pay something like $6.99 for each additional receiver. I have XM Online, but have had it for some time because of the subscription I already had when I bought the RL...

I probably didn't tell you anything you didn't know.

I don't understand your dilema here.

Why not keep the free subscription, and pay full price to have your roady activated. You're still only paying for one account. Then when your trial ends, you add the RL as your second account. And when you pay to activate the roady service, you'll get online access with it.

You end up with two active radios plus online access, while paying for one radio....

When I bought my RL, I had a regular account with my TL and my wife's Roady XT. When I traded for the RL, the Roady was automatically added to a new XM account at family price, which I pay quarterly. I didn't have to speak to anyone to get that deal, they just didi it.

Not sure it will work in your situation, but you could call again and find a more sympathetic operator? Otherwise, sasair is right.
