I have never upgraded navi on my 05 RL. $149 offer for 4.73 expires tomorrow. Is it worth upgrading? I'm in Orlando, so don't see major map updates on the 4.73 list. And with all the installation problems I've been reading here, not sure it's worth even trying. I do have XM traffic, so would be nice if there are significant upgrades to that. What would you do?

Look at the Acura Navi site and trace the upgrades in capability, and make a decision.

It was certainly worth $200 for me to upgrade from 4.3x to 4.6x just for the added functionality and increased calculation speed. I think the $149 is worth it for upgrading from 4.1x to keep the car updated, get better maps, etc., but only you can answer whether you want to spend that $$$

I did the upgrade from original '05. I think navtraffic is more stable. Not sure about FL area, but in CA, my traffic would dissappear regurlarly for 5 minutes or so.
The restaurant list was a bit "stale" in the orginal, so the updated POI is useful.

I'm happy with it. I upgraded my 4.5-ish to 4.62c when I bought my car, just by getting the dealer to swap discs with an '08 that was on the floor. Updating to 4.73 eliminated the occasional glitches and added some POI's (but not many roads, since I'm in a high-coverage area already) and was worth it. It works well now and I don't see why I'd need to update it again.
