2007rl base
#2
First, welcome to Acurazine!
Second, you are the only person who has posted with a 2007 base model, so most of us don't even know what it looks like yet inside. From what you're describing, there must be a screen in order for it to show GPS information. If they actually put a navi screen in there and simply didn't make it capable of navigation, the perhaps there is a software upgrade for it. I doubt it's that easy, and I'm just speculating.
A picture the interior setup would be helpful.

I highly doubt it. My guess is that you do not have the DVD-ROM drive that is located in the trunk (underneath the package shelf), along with the antenna, and I'm sure other stuff.

This almost sounds like back in the day when the MDX first came out. There were many that bought the car w/o GPS and was wondering if it was upgradable after the fact. It turns out it would cost $3K-$4K in hardware plus an unbelievable amount in labor which made it not cost effective.
