2007 RL DVD in trunk

In the trunk of my 2007 RL, there is a DVD player which has a slot for a DVD and a slot marked "PC Card" Both are ubocuppied. Can someone tell me what they are used for? My car does not have the Tech package.

The DVD slot is for the Nav disc. Not sure what the PC Card slot is for.

The PC Card slot is used by dealers to get diagnostic info from your car's system. Since you do not have the tech package, your current DVD system will not work with nave discs. However, you can replace it with a tech package nav DVD player and you will have nav in your rl. For more info, see this thread

Thanks for the info, guys. Looks like for $400 and a little effort, I can have factory nav. "That's a great deal", as the man says.

You are sure you do not have a tech package? The non-tech would package has a CD player, not a DVD player. DVD players are only standard with nav packages, at least that is what we are told. It could be someone just swiped your nav disk. Do you have an AFS button on your dash?
