2005 Acura RL Hands Free bluetooth pin code reset
2005 Acura RL Hands Free bluetooth pin code reset
I bought my car from a person who doesn't know what his past wife set as a 4 digit pin code for Handsfree link.
We tried many codes from factory to assumption with no luck. It keeps asking me for pin code and I don't know it. Is there anyway I can get through that so I can enjoy my callings???

The only code Ive seen for the handsfree was when making the connection it asks for a 4 digit code that the handset then asks for. I bought my car used and didnt have any troubles setting it up. Thats weird that there would be a security code that the dealer couldnt reset or that couldnt be found another way like the NAV and radio have. AND a code that doesnt allow any connection unless given is even weirder, considering what it is accessing.

<Press and release Talk button>
After the beep say "System"; the HFL response should be "System options are Setup and Clear"
<Press and release Talk button>
After the beep say "Clear"; HFL response should be ‘‘This process
will clear all paired phones, clear all entries in the phonebook, and
clear the passcode. Is this what you would like to do?’’
<Press and release Talk button>
After the beep say "Yes"; HFL response should be ‘‘Preparing to
clear all paired phones, all phonebook entries, and the
passcode. This may take up to 2 minutes to complete.’’
<Press and release Talk button>
After the beep say "OK"; after a short period of time the HFL response should be ‘‘System has been cleared. Returning to the main menu.’’
Hope this helps.

If Karl's method doensn't work (and I don't believe it will as it defeats the purpose of a PIN to begin with), your local dealer can clear the system.
I don't see how it defeats the system. A pin just makes it easy to know what code needs to be entered. It's not as though there is any security breach if someone can pair their phone with your car.
I think you have a lot more to be worried about if someone can reset the system than if they know your HFL pin.

We are likely talking about two different PINs. There is one that is used to pair and recognize your particular phone and there is one that can be enabled and requires you to enter it before accessing the HFL to make calls and your phone book.
Agreed! Anyway, thumbing through the manual I do see a procedure for clearing/resetting the HFL. On page 243 "Clearing the system":
After the beep say "System"; the HFL response should be "System options are Setup and Clear"
After the beep say "Clear"; HFL response should be ‘‘This process
will clear all paired phones, clear all entries in the phonebook, and
clear the passcode. Is this what you would like to do?’’
After the beep say "Yes"; HFL response should be ‘‘Preparing to
clear all paired phones, all phonebook entries, and the
passcode. This may take up to 2 minutes to complete.’’
After the beep say "OK"; after a short period of time the HFL response should be ‘‘System has been cleared. Returning to the main menu.’’
Hope this helps.

The system didn't allow to do anything to connect or reset the passcode.
Please what can I do ?
