My friend with an 05 RL has not been able to successfully pair any phone he's tried. Each and every time the pairing process fails when you are supposed to give your phone a "name" - the system just beeps out like you pressed the "back" button. We've tried older Nokia phones with BT, an ancient Motorola "Q" WindowsMobile rig, right up through to more recent Blackberries, iPhones, and Android (HTC Desire), and they always crap out at the same point.

Any ideas?

 

ive had my 05 RL for over a year now, always had the same problem and still cant find a fix for it. ive heard of several RL's having this problem (all of which were 05 models), and the only fix i know of is replacing the unit. hopefully someone can chime in with a cheap fix as thats a little out of my budget for something so small imo, but it would be nice to have my HFL function properly, though.

 

Same thing happens with my wife's 06 MDX. The only fix I've seen is to replace the HFL unit.

 

Try a long, one hour or so, battery disconnect. I had the same problem with my fascinate S until the dealer had the battery disconnected.
