05 Ding Ding
Does anybody know the exact location of the ding device that sounds off every time you open the door a night with the lights in auto? Do I need a chainsaw or is the module accesible with a few screws? Thanks for any help, this ding ding ding thing drives me crazy daily and nobody has ever explained to me as to whether it is to tell you that the HID's are on at night (which is obvious) or that it is because the door is open (which is also obvious). Either way I find it insulting that Acura assume that I need a warning to alert me to either situation. I know that it is now fixed and I can only hope that the software writer of this function is out of work.

It's incredibly annoying.... I'd love to kill that dinger for other reasons in my '06.

I started 2 threads many years ago regarding the 05 Ding issue but have never had an answer. I understand that the 06 is much better but any Ding should be a software selectable attribute but it still is not.
Now that the car is now "mature" I'm sure that someone has either fixed the problem or can confirm that the anoyance is eminating from the speedometer cluster area. If anyone has any information regarding this issue, it would be appreciated by many.
