Yellow "Pull Cord" in trunk

Does anybody know what the yellow "pull cord" is for in the trunk area. It is located to the left of the rear trunk speaker. I pulled it twice but nothing happened that I could see. You have to look hard as it is truck into a small
carpeted hole.

I believe you are referring to the safety cord - if you get trapped in the trunk you can use that to open the trunk.

Its incase your significant other and you have a tiff and one ends up in the trunk haveing breathing problems during a timeout. They can pull that bad boy and get out.

A car trunk as a sensory deprivation chamber....reminds me of an 80s movie.

It is strange that I don't have any yellow pull in my trunk. My trunk release is a white slide button directly behing the right rear tail light.

Frank,

A little advise: Be careful, very careful if your wife asks you to take a look in the trunk.
