Hey everybody,

With the winter season upon us, I am looking forward to some snowboarding. I have been searching for possible solutions for a rack system for my 2006 rl. Yakima makes these "Q Towers" that mount to our roof. Has anyone ever had experience with this product on a rl or any ohter car? I do not want to spend the money (over $400) on a system that will blow off going down the highway! Any info or ideas would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

I've used the Yakima Q towers on a Volvo S40 and an Audi A4. They work really good and you won't have a problem with it blowing off. Unfortunately, as you mentioned, the total gets to $400+. It's worth the money if you plan on going up a lot though.

I'm actually selling my Q Towers and crossbars, etc if you are in the Pacific NW at all. Now that I have a RDX also I don't need the towers anymore.

 

Yak-racks are awesome! There is a reason they are expensive. We have had them on several of our cars and it's great for biking, skiing, or storage.

Rahbey, I live on the east coast, however I work in transportation department with FedEx and UPS accounts. What Q towers do you have (would they fit my 06 RL)? How much?

I'd be interested in only your Q Towers and crossbars if Yankee2 does not pursue.
I already have a whole system that was fitted for my long ago '91 Civic Si, just need the new towers/clips and longer bars to fit my 05 RL.
Let me know. Shipping would be involved as I'm in California.
