wood wheel install tip
wood wheel install tip
Just finished installing my wood-look wheel...
great upgrade to the interior... makes it look much better...
I did a little trick that helped with reinstall of the wheel without having to do realignment...
I got a 5 inch strip of packaging tape and put 5 vertical lines on it using a pen marker..
i then taped this on the top back of the wheel where the wheel and the dashboard meet. I used a knife to cut the tape where it bridged the gap.
I then used the tape with the lines when I reinstalled the wheel and the tape reel... made sure the tape and lines aligned when I put the wheel back on...
perfectly centered for me...
took all of 1 hour for me to do the install... would've been 30 minutes if I didn't forget to tighten the screws for the bluetooth switch and have to remove the wheel and tighten it...
very easy install as long as you have the tools...
buy a wheel puller from your automotive store for 8 bucks, get a long t30 torx bit, 19mm long socket wrench, philips and flathead screwdriver and a wrench to remove the batter terminal...
make sure you have your navi and radio codes on hand.
