I'm almost done with my indash install retaining the heater controls and nav controls

the only thing absent is the actual cd changer unit.
well ( big fuck you goes to Honda again. for integrating what seems to be unnecessary. top display control)

it seems to be completely powered and controlled by the cd player unit since all the wires are going from it to the top display.
even the temperature display


so I poked around yesterday trying to power it up without the oem cd player and had no luck
I found the wires and tested each individual one to see if it can show the temp numbers but it doesn't as far as I know

anyone here good with electronics can find a way to power it up?

there are 2 wires to power the LCD backlight I got those.
but other ones I couldn't get anything out of
the stock cd player sends 9-10 volts to few of those wires but I don't know if they are data wires or voltage specific
I poked them back into sockets where they go individually but nothing powers up.
I will do more poking later but if you know how these things work . drop a line or two
