during last weeks snow storm, my wipers got stuck in a position above where it normally should settle because of the ice imbedded on the window. now that the ice has melted, the wipers do not setttle in the proper position. has this happened to anyone? how do i fix it without going to the dealer

The wipers sensed the snow and ice and moved to the Winter driving position, higher up so they would not get buried in the cowl.

Look at your manual on how to move them back down to the normal position. You just push them down firmly. See the description and illustrations on page 135 (of the 06 model) manual.

Push down closer to the pivot points. Less flexibility is encountered in the arms. It is stiff, but once you push it past the detent or what ever is holding it, it falls into place easily.
