Wipers

It was raining extremely hard earlier today. I turned my wipers on high speed........first time I have done this in many months. The wipers sounded like they were banging on the trim at the base of the windshield. I don't remember this before as it was loud.....I turned them back to normal speed and it stopped.

Has anyone else experienced this before I take it to the dealer?

I have experienced this a while back the the dealer repaired the issue. The only problem i have now is the wipers skipping certain areas of the windshield.

What part? Viewed from the driver's seat, my right wiper pushes water over into the left wiper's path but the left wiper skips over it. I've had the dealer check this twice. The car is going in for service on Friday and I asked them to try to fix it again. Am I wasting my time?
