Wiper blade replacement 2011 RL

So I need to change the wiper blades on my 2011 RL and it seems there is no aftermarket replacement. I hate the thought of getting them dealer installed and the exorbitant price I'll be gouged.
I've only had the car about 7 months and even the manual doesn't list a replacement. Anyone else have this problem and found a solution?

yes you are correct there is no direct aftermarket swap. I found out that you have to remove the blade from the new wiper and transfer the new blade over.

You want to replace the entire arm or just the inserts? PIAA is the way to go for inserts.

I just want to replace the blades and not the arm. I did find Honda OEM blades only for 2011 RL on eBay from an Acura dealer and will contact them about fit. They were
reasonably priced so I may have found a solution that won't break the bank.

I don't know that the PIAA inserts fit the MMC RL. I know another user has reported that the PIAA inserts last longer than OEM at the same price. I do however know that my dealer inserts cost less than 15$ and the dealer always installs it for me if I pull into the service bay.

I went to the PIAA site but lo and behold, 2011 RL does not exist in their vehicle list. seems to be common theme. It's like the car never existed. The inserts I saw on eBay are about $15 for the pair
There is a service call on my car and when I go in for the software update needed I will inquire about the refills. Guess I should expect issues when owning an "albatross".

No one out there make wiper blade for 05-12 RL, if you click on the filament check they will say it does not fit Acura RL. The reason being because Honda decide want to be Germans car, unique but not useful.

Buy the inserts from Acura, they are inexspensive, Move the wipers to winter mode (if the 2011 has a winter mode), Pull out the old blade, keep the mettle guides and place them into the new blades, insert blades and you are done. You might want to put a towel on your windshield during this process, if the wiper arm slams down on the windshield just so, it can cause (although rare) the glass to break for chip. Best of Luck.

That link takes you dutifully to a website that quickly tells you that they do not have wiper blades to fit our cars. Not sure what the purpose of posting links like this serves other that to waste people's time.

I believe it’s the 19 and 28 inch inserts that fit the ‘05-‘08 RL. Found this information off of a quick glance at Amazon reviews for the PIAA product.

Not sure about ‘11.

The inserts can be tricky to install. If I remember correctly each was two inserts that needed to be slid in together. Someone with experience doing it will do it a lot faster.

They are not expensive at the dealer, and as project said, they may indeed install them for you. Give the guy 5 bucks tip.

Just go to the dealer. I paid $20 installed, can't go wrong.

Did they change the wiper style for 2011? PIAA blades fit the RL, Just choose the proper length. That’s where everyone on this forum has been recommended to go.
