I eventually will take them off for the A-Spec bodykit but I was wondering if anyone else has the scratching problem after they are taken off? The mud guards on my old TL did leave some scratches. If so perhaps I won't wait any longer to take them off. Thanks.

 

The paint job on the RL is of a much more lasting, stronger, type of process. This minimizes scratching. However, there are no guarantees.

 

If they're anything like my 2001 TL, yes they will leave permanent marks. Once that happens, you either nned to get the area repainted or just leave the mudguards on.
