i've been searching for that as well. mine died a few months ago.
lucky for me i'm not forced to drive handsfree. (rarely talk and drive anyway, unless on long trips)

someone here said they found it for 150 on ebay i think.
i thought about calling the junk yards with our car (ebay listings) and ask but havent had the need.

acuraoemparts.com wants $641.75

You might try salvage yards. The HFL module is the same for 2005-2008. It is different in the 2009+ RLs and I do not know if it is backward compatible.

noticed the the three letter prefix (SJA) are a tad different through various links provided.

didnt know they where compatible with other models..

thanks again tampa.. maybe we can meet up for coffee or something next time i'm in town.

You will find many Acura parts are the same as the Honda counterpart. It appears they RL / LEGEND uses the same component as the TSX / EUROACCORD. Both being Japan builds, it further makes sense they share the same component. The TL however, does not use the same BT Module.

The RL & TSX module is made by Johnson Controls.
The TL module is made by Bluecon.

But the P/N for the TSX module is the same as the RL. The A01 is simply the Acura version of the P/N.....and typically more $$$ than the corresponding Honda P/N.

Deal on the coffee.

What's involved with installing a replacement HFL module? My friend also has an 05 RL with the same issue.

I posted this think above where LL describes the replacement process.

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=752656

The links to the used BT modules above are mostly for TSX. Althought the primary part #s are the same, the casing of the modules are slightly different. They may not mount exactly the same, and you may need to modify the mounting with tie straps or velcro. Its behind the glovebox, so it has no cosmetic impact.
