When I put my 08 RL into reverse only the drivers side rear view mirror moves down to assist in backing up, but the passenger side rear view mirror doesn't move.

Are both rear view mirrors supposed to move when you put the RL into reverse?

Yea mine both move...when you use your miror switch to select witch one you want to move or middle for none. I really like the option because i dont like them moving

on my tl both do not move its either driver or passenger depending on which direction the little knob is pushed over too . i leave mine in the middle though its just another moving part that will eventually fail.

rtr and 6spd are correct. Only one will move at a time or neither if set in the middle.

switch next to the knob for mirrors folding is responsible for which mirror moves down during reversing. when in the middle both mirrors stand still.
