What engine RPM at 70 Mi/h in 5th?
When a friend of mine got a B6 Audi S4 he was disappointed at the high RPMs of the V8 in 6th gear at legal highway cruising speeds. My B5 S4 does about 2580 rpms @ 70 M/h in 5th gear. I have a Tip, he has the 6speed manual. I seem to recall that the M35 (and M45?) have more agressive gearing than the RL which frankly pushes me towards the RL. Not sure if I'm correct about that though.
So what is the approximate engine rpm at 70 M/h?

Hmm, around 2000 or slightly above...I think
I was on the highway a few days ago and believe I was going around that speed and the tach was reading around 2000.
