Went in For Alignment & Got a Free Battery!
Like the title says... I went in for a 4-wheel alignment on my 2006 RL and the Acura tech found during the courtesy inspection that my car battery was low on cold cranking amps and offered to replaced it free of charge under warranty... even though the car now has over 50k miles. Hard to turn down a deal like that... the warranty must have been on the battery itself. I like..

Same thing with my MDX. Each time I go for service, they check the battery. The one on my MDX didn't check out once and they replaced it. Nice. My guess is it's a quick warranty moneymaker for them with no argument from Acura (perhaps it's cheaper to replace a bad battery vs. sending service for a stranded car). So far the RL battery has been fine.

Late model Acuras have a 4 year warranty on the batteries....including the replacements.
I figure I will never have to buy a battery as I never had OEM batteries last that long.
There are a couple of threads speaking to low battery 'symptoms'. One of the most common is the telescoping wheel halting when cranking the ignition. If your RL is under 4years old, and you experience these symptoms, you should be able to get a new battery.
