Thumbs up Weather Sealing

I was vacuuming the car today and also putting rubber conditioner on the door seals.

Awesome to see triple sealing at the doors. Now I know why I can hear the rattle coming from the parcel shelf so clearly even though it is not loud

I had seen double seals before but nothing like what was on the RL doors. There is a rubber seal that goes around on the body side and there are two seals on the door.

Very very nice,

Indeed, the noise reducing efforts on the RL do make it possible to hear some interior sounds you would otherwise never hear with ambient sound.

As typical of most Honda products, tire noise is the common problem.

I too am amazed how well the doors seal. The seals wrap completely around the doors. I even notice how little water & dirt makes into the door jams and door thresholds. The doors on the RL close with a very solid thunk.

I also love the flush mounted side glass. No wind whistles and so easy to clean.

I'm amazed that there are rubber seals everywhere...even around the "Not an Ashtray."

It must be only with cars built in Japan. My '93 Vigor had the same thing.

My 96 RL had a rubber seal around the ashtray -- to hold in any cigarette stink. I think in our 2G RLs the seal is there for when the not-an-ashtray is replaced with the optional ash tray.
