Used car issues

Anyone ever bought a Used car and then turned around and had to fix items on it? I am not talking about buying a sub $5K car and having problems. For example on club lexus a guy bought a 02 GS300 with 89K miles on it, so far he spent around 7K on repairs and has 108K miles on it and is trying to sell it that sounds like it has issues and he is trying to get out of it quick.

It can (and will) happen. The RL is not a car that you want out of warranty, at least in my opinion. That was one of the reasons I went for a lower mileage car so I could get the Acura warranty and have some coverage up to 100k. It's up to you but I think it's worth it. The RL is a solid car but parts are expensive...

Personally, the only way I would own a car out of warranty (even CPO or extended warranty) is if it's a non-daily driver car that I plan to modify extensively...as I plan to do when I find a mint 97 Supra

I bought 2 Legend coupes back-to-back and neither had warranties - while neither had any MAJOR issues, even just the simple fixes added up quickly.
