I recently got the pulley installed, but i have a sound that is coming from what sounds like the brakes or axle?? It sounds like metal to metal grinding. You only can hear it when in low speeds and not on the gas. What could it be? Could it be the pulley or the axle, or even ball bearings?

 

is it like a squeal? cause if it is it is your brakes, axles dont make a grinding noise they just generally make a clicking noise when you make sharp turns. more than likely its the brakes

 

I dont think its the break squeal. I know how that sounds like. And its not clicking. More like dragging something metal on the floor but not all the time, during a certain point of rotation if you know what i mean?

 

We need more info, how many miles on the car? Even been in an accident?
Any mods? Any service work done on the front end?
Did it start with the pulley change?

 

i've had a metal tapping sound after i installed my pulley back in may it comes only after the car has warmed up for some time...does it happen to you when your driving or parked? if it's when your parked it's from the pulley.. i took it back to the shop the week after i got it installed and they doubled checked it and it was running str8..
