Ultra big shot at my firm just bought an RL
Let's put it this way, he could probably pay cash for a lamborghini with what he makes in a month.
Anyhow, he chose the RL above all other vehicles.
If you think about it, the RL could very well be THE best no compromise sedan available today.
European - compromise reliability
Lexus - compromise traction (no AWD)
American - compromise everything!

What you could afford may not be what you are willing to spend. He bought it just because he thinks it is good, not because it is the "best". There is no "best" car in the world. If you are good in this, then you are not that good in that. In RL's case, its V6 engine produces low torque output, and that is a compromise. It doesn't even provide a V8 engine as an opition, that is another compromise.
