Question Trunk sometimes refusing to close

I don't recall seeing this posted about before. When I try to close my trunk, with the fob in my pocket, it sometimes beeps angrily at me and pops back open. It's like it thinks I'm trying to lock the fob in the trunk.

Usually, if I try it again, it will close and lock normally. This just happened to me again a few minutes ago.

Anyone else noticed this? Think it's just the proximity of the fob to the trunk causing it? Just curious.

This happened to me just last week. I closed the trunk while standing at the driver's rear corner of the car, and it popped back open. I closed it again from the same spot with no trouble.

Talking

If you guys have the transmitter in your back pocket, maybe the transmitter thinks it IS in the trunk and will not allow the trunk to close? Have you been accused of too much junk in the trunk?

I know, I know...I will burn for that.

It happened to me twice about two months ago, but since then it has worked as it should. I have no reason why it wouldn't stay closed.

Tampa, you're grounded. And no TV for a week.

It occurred to me once, and I believe I was standing to the side.

Yep. It seems to happen if you're not standing square to the trunk. Does it to me about once a week.

Never happened to me...come to think of it, I've had zero problems with mine, except for the slow paddles, but I think that's justthe way they are.

I got used to the slow paddles by just shifting a second or two earlier than I need to.
