Did my own drain & fill using Dextron VI which is apparently comparable with Acura/Honda spec fluid. On second drain, for finding the level I put about 2.6 quarts in, drove it around the block to get it warmed up and then added the rest of the 3rd quart as the level was too low immediately after stopping the engine to inspect the level. When I drove it around the block (very short drive) I did notice it starting to shift hard, which I attributed to the level being too low.

Now, I feel it's shifting strangely at times and hard 2nd to 1st and I can't figure out if the level is dead on or too full. The longer it sits after I've turned it off, the higher the level gets. After a minute, it looks full to the top hole but immediately after it can be just at the bottom hole.

Note - last fluid was not Genuine fluid either but did not have these problems.

Have I damaged the transmission on that short drive? Any experience from other owners would be appreciated.
