Tilt and Telescope

I have heard that Honda products all have a trait of having the steering wheel high in the tilt and if you put the wheel at a confortable angle then you block the view of the guages. I prefer my steering wheel to be at it's lowest position and would even go lower if the RL would allow. The lowest is higher than most cars will allow and most cars don't obstruct the guages so early. Do any of you out there agree or should I go and check another RL - maybe my one is broken?

I'm not sure if I'm all the way down, but I'm pretty low and I can see my gauges perfectly.

Um...doesn't it all depend on the driver's position? I mean, I'm tall in the saddle, have the wheel all the way up, and can see the dash just fine.

Maybe you should adjust your seat height rather than lowering the steering wheel.

I don't know if it's Honda or what, but that's exactly my same problem. It was in the TL, it is in the RL. And no, I cannot take the seat any lower, it's at the lowest already.

If you want to be lower relative to the steering wheel, then *raise* your seat....

Thanks for the condescending advice, but if I raise the seat, then my head bumps on the roof.

Well how tall are you guys?

Hondas USED to have low dashes and this was never a problem.

The driving position should be set for comfort, personal choice and ability to have maximum control of the steering wheel. As is obvious, people come in all shapes and sizes but the ability to see the guages and dash should not be compramised.
Question: If you draw a line perpendicular from the center hub of the steering wheel, is it at the same height as your shoulders, nipples or belly button?
