Thinking about jumping on an 07-08 CPO RL

Hi,

Just sold my s2000 recently and wanted something smooth, reliable, and luxurious. The RL comes to mind so I have been looking for one. I have looked at several RL's in my area and none of them seems to be clean as I want it to be. I'm just thinking about going CPO as picking up an 08 w/ low mileage.

Do you guys think an 08 CPO w/ 30-35k for 28k is a lot? I originally just wanted to spend 20-25 but the cars are higher mileage and not so clean (the ones I looked at). I feel bad becase now w/ 28k there's more cars I can look at. What do you guys think.
Thanks.

I got my 07 tech $26k w/ 27k certified pre-owned last December. There was a comparable 08 but wasn't certified. Since I was putting a deposit sight unseen and flying to pick it up, I required it be certified. Mine was put on the lot May 08 and the other was put on the lot November 08. It did take some time to find low mileage and great condition for close to $25k, but it can br done. I had to drop the year to 07 to do it though. Look at when it was put in the lot. You could have two cars that were made 2-3 months apart and have different model years.

By the way mine started at $30k and was dropped to $26k. That may have something o do with being in Montgomery, AL though.

Oh, to answer your question, IMO I think that's a pretty good deal especially if it is nice. I have no regrets from my decision.

being certified gives you extra piece of mind.... if you can find a certified one, that would be ideal. the deal you have sounds pretty good.

I boughgt my RL two years ago, and got an 06 with 29k miles for $26,500. your car is two years newer, but we are two years later...... basically, your deal sounds a lot like mine, only two years in the future.. .and I worked hard to find my car and get my deal.

just m ake sure you look at several. there are not a lot of used RLs out there.. I drove to several so cal dealers...and i had to look at a few of them before I found mine.. several I looked at were dirty, had numerous small cosmetic issues.. mine is pristine. it looked like it was new.. it was clearly owned by either an elderly couple or a single person who was anal. no kids were EVER in it.. until I got it...

take your time to find a nice one. it is a nice ride.

got mine with 26k miles for $28k + $750 wrap warranty to end of '14; even 30-35k miles is ok, honda's last with basic maintenance.
