I have a 2005 Acura RL and I was wondering if the 2009 Acura RL taillights will fit it. They look slightly different and I would love to see my car with them on.

the shape of the taillight is physically different.
you will be able to wire it up, but not mount it because it's a different shape.

think square peg in a round hole.

 

If you got a whole new trunk lid and possibly also rear side panels, you might make this work. At this point would definitely be cheaper to just sell your 2005 and buy a 2009.

 

The car is at roughly 125k. I need a new rear quarter panel or some pdr. Would it even be worth the 7k I bought it for?

Would it be better to trade it in or to keep up the maintenance? All I've been offered is like 1500 for it.

if you have the funds to *ahemFUCKUPahem* i mean to weld in new quarter panels along with the trunk and new hardware...go for it.

if you have the funds to purchase a new car, go for it!

or if this is your only means of transportation and it would be cheaper to keep her.
