Talking Suprised at the RL

Well long story short had 2 great kills today in this car.

1) I raced a Mini Cooper S W/Exhaust and it was a MT. We started at a slow roll and I hit almost 6800RPM on the RL in 2nd gear. Complete blow away.

2) Raced a Nissan Altima Coupe from a dig. I actually provoked this race. It was me and my boy and this other kid was with his girl. I drove up to him and kept staring at his car. We started out as soon as the light change. The RL has weak gearing against this car, BUT when 3RD gear kicked it i pulled several car lengths in front of him.

Not to call this one a kill but I got so excited after these two kills, look what pops up next to me a TL-S I hit the gas but he wasnt racing, then when he tried to play catch up it was too late. I heard his stock exhaust growling. Once again 3rd gear is a killing gear in this car.

P.S.
If you race a RL i hope you have long legs

Who would win that? My buddy JEOWEN on here has a 08 TL-S....We talk a lot of smack back and forth but who really should win that? Deep down I think he may have me but I'd like to know from some of you who have experience racing them...

Awesome Blazing GT. 3rd Gear is freakin amazing in the RL. You can truly hear the VTEC screaming for you to mash the pedal.

You can easily get it up to 90mph in 3rd.

In a strait line the RL will get toasted but i think around a track with alot of twisties the SH-AWD would be able to keep up with the TL Type-s so it might be close but from stop light to stop light the RL has no chance!

This is the most important element of this thread relative to any car's top end performance.

Street racing may prove a car's performance capailities to some. But dealing with traffic, pedestrians, poor drivers, congestion while street racing will prove to others how underperforming the street racing driver is.

Good write up TampaRL.

My friend races cars at sanctioned tracks (road course). He enjoys beating the rare kid with a 911 or Vette on road courses. Even with sports cars like 911, etc.. If you don't know how to drive, its a total waste.

BTW, why hasn't SH-AWD made into some type of car hall of fame. SH-AWD is an awesome invention...

We don't condone street racing on this board, let alone the RL section. Take this as a friendly warning.
