Sunroof question

For some reason, I just noticed it today, but it doesn't seem like the sunroof is flush with the roof panel, but I sore I thought it was flush. Everything works find, so I'm pretty sure it came factory like this, but can any one confirm? Thanks!

Yeah, every function of it works. The front isn't as flush either...didn't include a pic because it's hard to see anything.

The dealer fixed mine when it was in for service, there is a learning procedure for it like the windows.

So I dug around, and I found the calibration steps:
1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2. Press and hold the tilt switch and the the ignition switch ON (II).
3. Release the tilt switch and turn the ignition switch OFF.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 four times.
5. Press and hold the moonroof open switch until 3 seconds after the moonroof is fully opened.
6. Press and hold the moonroof close switch until 3 seconcs after the moonroof if fully closed (tilted).
7. Confirm that the moonroof is reset by using the moonroof AUTO OPEN and AUTO CLOSE function.

What is this AUTO OPEN and AUTO CLOSE function? The first time I heard of it....how can I preform the auto functions?

Cool glad you found it.

Just like the windows, it opens and closes with one hit of the switch.

There are two thresholds in the switch just like Heavy is talking about in the window switches. The first threshold will operate the window (sunroof) only while the switch is engaged, a.k.a. manual function. If you push past this to the next threshold, the window will continue to operate, even when the switch is released, until it is either fully open or fully closed, a.k.a auto function.

In short, auto is pushing the button to its max either way. Just like your other windows.

So I tried the calibration method, and it still is the same. I think that I'm doing the steps correctly....I would probably have to manually adjust the moonroof or have the dealer do it.

Oh yeah, I found out the auto function, it works. Thanks.

Oh, and oddly enough, the left and right sides of the moonroof are flush, but just not the front and back...

Looking at the service manual, adjusting it manually seems pretty simple to do.

Can you post the page with instructions for those of us who don't have service manual?

I have same problem but luckily it doesn't leak, but cosmetic imperfection kind of bugs me
