I need to change the rear lower ball joints on my 2005 RL. However, after searching the dealers, they told me that the "RLBJ" is no replaceable. I would have the change the whole knuckle... Now that's just crazy... Does anyone have any insight of what other ball joint is compatible with the 2nd gen RL. (Rear).. Any techs??

Yea it may be true.. But what happen to yours?

 

I'm in the process of "base-lining" my RL... I'm currently on the suspension... I order a set of H&R springs (installed yesterday) and I want to update all 4 ball joints... Just so that I have a piece of mind. Not to mention a firmer/new car ride...

 

I would not bother with that you should be more concerned about shocks, alignment, tires, oil's. Anyway if you take a better look there is way more than 4 ball joints and your looking around 4000 with install and parts...

 

What ended up happening here? Did the OP find the rest ball joint or what happened?
