07 RL - beyond meticulousy maintained 126,000 miles - driving 40 MPH - I nailed the accelerator - I could feel what appeared to be the back wheels locking - for a millisecond - and gone. Hasn't happened since....?????? Thanks Buster

 

If you cannot replicate the problem, there is no problem.

Your nearly 20 year old car is probably in better shape than most cars on the road, given how attentive you are to potential issues.

 

Ever changed the rear differential lube?
